Candice Nicole
Baby Doll Candiloux
Candice Nicole (Nicole) is the new born of the New Orleans Voodoo Baby Dolls. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, her roots trace the Mississippi River deep into Louisiana—from St. Francisville through the River Parishes, all the way to New Orleans.
She is the daughter of native New Orleanians from the Cut Off and Hollygrove neighborhoods, and at just five years old, she began learning French. Her maternal family carried the traditions of Louisiana French and Creole, speaking them quietly in the shadows during a time when such languages were often dismissed. Drawn by an unshakable pull, she embraced the language and never let it go.
Her journey led her to French-speaking competitions at De La Salle High School and later to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she minored in French. Today, She is a DELF-certified French speaker with a deep passion for dancing, singing, and poetry.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, she serves as a director and mentor in the hospitality industry. Above all, Baby Doll Candiloux is devoted to the preservation of Louisiana Creole heritage and hospitable culture, believing strongly in the importance of keeping cultural traditions alive for future generations.
